Founded in 1949, IHC has become New Zealand’s leading provider of services for people with intellectual disabilities. “A commercial business with a social purpose.” Established as an Industrial Training Unit for People with Disabilities in 1974, Southland DisAbility Enterprises (SDE) provides meaningful and encouraging personal development through employment opportunities. SDE received a grant last month that will support the purchase of additional equipment and transportation, and ultimately create more jobs and employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the Invercargill, New Zealand community.
